In a world of swords and sorcery; two bodygaurds surprise their princess with a birthday gift.

I wanted to focus on making a fun action scene for this one. While thinking about what kind of monster these characters were going to face, I realized that they needed a purpose to be there. I felt this purpose needs to show their individual personalities and relationship with one another. The two bodyguards giving a surprise birthday gift to the princess felt like a fun way to show this off. Doing this allowed me to add an emothional scene to my boards and to use it to build-up the fight with the golem.
